Default 350 TBI Oil Pressure Issues

I have had multiple chevy 350's in the past and I cannot seem to recall having the problem that I am experiencing right now. I just bought a 92 Mustang GT so I have not been driving the truck much but tonight the oil pressure gauge dropped to under 20 and even to zero once. I am running Mobil 1 synthetic blend 10w30 and I am begining to wonder now. The motor has about 175,000 on it now. My last lasted for over 210,000. Any suggestions or comments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Bill

I'd say to put a new oil sender on it. Check around it to see if it has an oil leak too.

Oil sending unit? Wouldn't that be called an oil pump per say then?

No, its the sensor at the back of the intake or at the oil filter on some trucks, that controls the oil psi gauge.

Thanks for the info guys. I appreciate it very much and will look into the oil pressure/sender unit.
