4.060" bore why or why not.

We originally went .03 over on a 408 stroker, 6.0 liter iron block. Worked great, put a tvs 1900 on top and made 727 hp and averaged 650 ft/lbs on 6.5 lbs of boost. No oil burning and my gas mileage went up over the old 6.0. Now the important news, broke a value spring and dropped a value in the motor. Beat the crap out of 5 pistons and scratched 5 cylinders. The good news is now we can still use the block without a sleave and bore to .04 over. At .06 over if something goes wrong you are **** out of luck. Go .03 over, stroke it correctly and you'll enjoy the **** out of it.

The older blocks had bad core shift and some couldnt be bored .06 over. Its a good idea to get the blocked checked after boring it that much. Ive said it before, if you want to get a long life out of a stroker go with an aluminum block. The cylinder skirts are deeper and stabilize the piston more, therefore less oil burning. When/if I do another stroker it will be out of an LS3 block.
