Re: 4.10 and eaton
What do you want it to "help"?
I bought the combo you're talking about not too long ago.
I LOVE IT!
The 4.10s rip outta the hole and the Eaton posi helps ALOT with the traction. It grips like a **** compared to my **** open diff. I had.
Granted, I still slip a little when I punch it from a dead stop, but it is nowhere near the shitty take offs I used to do when I had the 3.73s and the open diff.
The only thing I don't like, and it isn't THAT much of a deal to me, is the loss of low end. It just won't downshift into 2nd like it used to at higher speeds. Forget about taking Mustangs on the freeway, it won't happen. However, at the stoplights is a different story. It's actually funny how fast they appear in my rearview
When I had the 3.73s, I turned 2 grand on the tach at 70mph. Now I turn about 2400-2500RPMs at the same speed.
No noticeable difference in mileage. I say go for it.
Oh yea, smokin the tires is so easy
