Default 4.10s + diablo= Speedo still frickin off

Got my truck back and updated my program on the Predator for my 4.10s and the speedo is still frickin 13mph too fast. I dont know if it wont update because of the downloaded program or what. I would love to Florida and kick everyone of them in the nuts. Then i think I might kick myself in the nuts for buying this POS. The 4.10s are nice but I think I will sell them for 3.90's. I do love the Eaton alot more then my other locker. The local 1/4 mile strip is open " MOCAM" so I am going to try to get to the track this weekend for some times. The topend is killer and it sure rips out of the hole now. So now I guess it is a trip to Houston so I can find ol Farmtruck for a tune. HE is the NElson guy right?

it's probably those Stage 3 heads you installed while it was down that are messing with the speedo. all that new power is throwing off your computer.

Red ... let me know if your serious about getting rid of the 4.10's. Do you think that's to much gear, or just cause the speedo is off?

FYI Nelson Perf. (Allen) is in San Antonio, not Houston. He may make trips back and forth though. I remember he went up to Dallas for some tuning a while back.

Red, sorry can't help you with your speedo problem but I'm beginning to agree with you about the Predator being a POS. The only thing it does better than the HPP I had is shift a little better, that's it in my opinion. I even think my truck was quicker with the HPP, you may want to pick up a used HPP to get your speedo corrected. I used mine when I put larger tires on my truck and it was right on, unlike the Predator. I may pick up a used HPP until I can get a Nelson tune and **** can this Predator..

I had the same problem with the predator not correcting for the gears. I ended up just fooling it by putting in a different final tire size. I used this as a guide & did the math to adjust for my gear change from 3.42>4.10 & tire size change from 255/70/16>275/60/16's.

Do you have a custom tune from Diablo? If so, you cant reset anything. You have to get a new tune.
