4.3 V6 to 4.8 V8 swap HELP! I'm New here
Ok sooooo I'm gonna be doing a swap from a 4.3 V6 to a 4.8 V8
I would like to go ls1 but i haven't found one at a good price (High school student) and i found the 2006 4.8 with 4l60e for 700$ Really low miles
The guy did a 6.0 swap and the 4.8 is just in his garage.
I have a RCSB 2000 Silverado
What i wanna know is what kinds of mods would i need to bring my truck to the low 14's without boosting or no2. I'm thinking tune, UD pulley, E-fans, maybe long tubes, LS6 Cam. Truetrac posi. Maybe a Fast LSX intake
Also If I would like to add the T-56 Tranny what gears should i get? And since i'm going to be swapping from a 2000 engine to a 2006 would i have to change the way the throttle body opens, Cause i believe that they changed it from cable to the sensor. Thanks guys
