I guess I'll try a boost controller.

I got the plugs, wires, cap, rotor all changed at lunch and it runs kinda better. If i punch it off the line it bogs and slowly gains speed. Till the boost kicks in that is. Is this maybe because if the 2"ID pipe? Should i swap it out with 2.5"?

Also with it running better now its definatly pulling harder and making a little more boost. At about 4200rpms its running out of fuel and stops gaining speed till i let off. I will try regulating it down to 4psi for now and try to get ahold of a cheap FMU.

Let me get this strait, You have NO hoses at all going to the wastegate right? I think that's your problem. Your relying on exhaust pressure to push open the wastegate, and exhaust back pressure is not the same as intake pressure most of the time. You need to connect a hose from the compressor to the wastgate so boost pressure is opening it when the boost level reaches 5 pounds. That's probably why your seeing such funny boost levels.

Thanks, thats the first good answer I've gotten on the 3 different forums i have this same question posted on. I will do that today for sure.

So the charge air goes into the opening side of the WG and the boost controller goes to the closed pushing side right?

hey dick you have to have a boost line to the bottom side of the waste gate or else it isn't going to know how much boost it has in there take a tee from your guage and run a liner to the bottom part of the wastegate so it knows how much boost it has then that will push up on the spring and couse the waste gate to open. i didn't read all the post so it may have been said already.

ok i reread you have your answer yeah the boost line goes to the bottom of the spring area of the wastegate and the boost controller side goes to the top. a cheap controller is a air comprressor regulator from lowes or home depot it will work basically the same all your doin is adding boost to the top to hold the wastgate closed so when the boost at the bottom reaches that level it will start to open it.
