Default 4.3L V6 Looking for more power...

Hey all, I want to give my 4.3L V6 a bit more to work with. From the factory it was rated at 190hp/255lbft, although in a full size truck (with the 4.3)its rated at 200hp/260lbft. Why the difference? I am not exactly sure. But are there any simple boltons I could get for it that might get me somewhere around 220-230? My 2003 ZR2 is completely stock except I descreened the MAF and I have a K&N air filter. Its now the 4th year anniversary since I bought it new(09/11/03) and I want to give it a little extra boost. Hopefully there maybe some on here that have some knowledge that might help me out, thanks!

descreening the stock MAF wasnt such a good idea but anyways...

headers
full exhaust
mailorder tune
new plugs and hi-po wires
efans
gears
stall, locker
cold air intake

after that either a cam and valvetrain or a supercharger kit

I was thinking of more with bolt on power adders... If I knew what I know now about MAF's I would have left it alone. It has 3.73 8.5"gears now. I thought about an e-fans. I have the e-fans from the '96 B4C Camaro I used to own, it cooled an LT1 350 V8 it should work just fine with my truck that has direct air flow to the radiator. I think I still need a kit for the belt and wiring.

Well the thing of it is the 4.3L is a great motor and only has 51k... I have maintained the snot out of it so I don't want to swap a motor anytime soon. Especially since I have the 94 B4C Camaro to work on, that would get the 6.0L first LOL. I think the craziest I would get with the 4.3L is to buy a turbo for it. and why not the Buicks with 3.8s in the 80's were fast as hell with just a turbo v6

Here's a post about what does and doesn't work: https://www.performancetrucks.net/forums/showthread.php?t=395748&highlight=bolt+ons
I think that it was written with the LS V8s in mind, but the info is good for all motors.

I would suggest a custom tune from Wheatley first. Probably the best bang for the buck. Nitrous would be next.

lt1s10, a blower would be sweet right now but I am not in a position to go to those extreme measures year. lt1s10 I can only assume you have an LT1 in your s10, How hard was that to swap in? I have an extra LT1 from the 96 Camaro that I had and thought about swapping it in. But again I need to first finish up with my 94 that I have now, So I guess I am looking for simple affordable boltons to give me a little more power for now. So I guess what are good boltons that are worth the money for a 4.3L?

The LT1 swap is a major pain in the ***. It would be about the easiest swap if you just wanted to do a stand alone harness, but to get everything to work right, it just sucks. Im now going with a lq9, much easier to get all the gauges working.. Only one computer. Hey- Paypal does wonders when you dont have any cash!!! That supercharger would be your cheapist and easiest way to get more horsepower.
