Default 4.8 to 5.3 or 6.0 swap

Basically I just want to know if it is worth the time and money to swap to the 6.0 and if so I drive a 2006 so what year trucks could I get the 6.0 out of and what all would need to be done for the swap? I know the 6.0 is gonna cost roughly around $2500 so would I be better off just swapping to the 5.3? Any advice would be helpful. I just have to keep in mind that I will be swapping both sets of gears in my truck soon to the 5.13's. And any advice on what tranny and cam to use with either swap my truck sits on 40 inch tires and everything is stock and I know I am doing it a big injustice right now. Thanks

I would def go with a 6.0 just for the higher HP and torque you would be starting with. A 4L80 would be needed to hold up to 40's. I am assuming since you have the 4.8 you have a 1/2 ton. Please swap the 10 bolt for a 14 bolt 6 lug before you waste money on building a 10 bolt for that size tire. Also cant guarentee how long that front diff is going to like that size tire. If its a mall crawler then you might be OK, but if it sees any mud be sure to have some back up front diffs.
