Question 4.8 cam ideas

ok looking for a cam for my truck. truck will be a street truck with some (lil) track. its getting long tubes and roller rockers at the same time with new cold air. im looking at a comp XR265HR with 522/529. on a 114 lobe. that will put the revs around 1200-6000( or so comp says) will this cam work ok? or should i go for the high lift ver at 558/565? i know everybody says stay under 220/220 and 550 lift so thats why i have this cam in mind. any input will be outstand. or other cam ideas also.

i would run the 212/218 lowlift
no need for the roller rockers save the cash
the cam pulls to 6300 in my 5.3

theres a fti 214/220 for sale that was a really good cam in a 4.8

I swapped in a Scoggin Dickey HT1 this weekend...still needs tuning so I can't totally vouch for its overall performance yet, but hopefully I can get that done tonight. Here are the specs: 214/218 .559/.562 111lsa 109icl
Its a comp custom grind for Scoggin Dickey.

im no expert at all, but that sounds like a good 4.8 cam. who spec'd it for u? how is it running without tuning so far?

why the lowlift over the high lift? is the high lift just too much for the little 4.8? i kinda thought the extra lift would be more hp...

the low lift has been proven to work better
Theres about 5 hp diff between hi and low lift

I run the low lift and it has shown great results in my setup
