Hey everyone i need alittle help with something. I know the 4.8/5.3/and 6.0 are all ls1 based motors but i was wondering if the ls6 can will work in the 4.8 or will it really mess something up. Im looking to build my 4.8 for Nitrious If someone can give me some info on this it would be great

 

A friend of mine who also post on this site !st hade the LS6 came and switched to Comp 212/218 114lsa Cam! You can PM him if you want and he will be more than happy to let you know his thoughts- CARAZYCUTER 4.8 or I will get him to post in the morning on this! I am gonna buy his LS6 one because I just got a wet kit and have heard that it is a great cam to spray with!

 

thanks for the info. did the ls6 cam have a lopy idel to it or did it sound relativly stock, and how much would a ls6 cam cost? I want to run a direct port set up and im looking for a good cam to use with nitrious. i know i can go out and buy a bigger cam for it but its my daily driver.

 

if you've ever pulled up next to a stock Z06. thats how the cam will sound in your truck. I've heard that unless your running a 150+shot of nitrous, not to base your cam on the bottle.

 

ive heard that also and ive heard many a zo6's and i love their sound but i do plan on running 100-150 shot. Does anyone have and idea of hp and tq gains with the ls6 cam in a 4.8

I have some dyno sheets of the Z06 cam in my 4.8, The cam is great up top, I just changed again to the comp 212/218 cam & I will be at the track this weekend to see how it performs. I will post some video clips for you.
