Default 4.8 cam ?s

Ive done a lot of searching and just need some opinions. I have a 4.8 5spd. with listed mods. I want a cam not too radical lift wise cause this is a dd!! I am trying to decide between the comp 212 218 and the tr 220 220. both on 112. I dont race a whole lot just maybe 2 times a year. I just want a good cam for decent power and LOPE!!!! I doubt i will be getting a dyno tune, nelson will be doing that for me. I dont tow anything. and again its my dd. It also has 189k miles on it but 6.0 swap is a little pricey at the moment but engine still runs fine. Just not many cammed 4.8s in my area and i like to surprise ppl and be diff. So let me hear what u guys think.
Thanks,
Derek

if you go with the 212/218 get it on a 110+4... It is only like -5* of overlap so that should not be that hard for Alan to tune...

on a 212/218 I think it would be easy to tune, and I am not that good at tuning... If i can tune my 222/224 @112 in my 4.8 he should be able to knock it out rather quickly... If you want more lope you need to go up in duration and get the overlap at around -1.... For example my cam has -1* of overlap...

The TR220 on a 112 lopes hard on my 5.3 it would only be more on a 4.8!
Plenty of power with it as well im very pleased so far, not even finished with the tune yet either, the idle is done though. It sounds very nice IMO
