You're going to give up a bunch of tq vs a 6.0L for a NA combo I wouldn't do it. However if I was running a class turbo or supercharger say a 76mm turbo, or small blower and trying to maximize efficiency It would be a great choice. Also might raise the peak power threshold of the factory block and cast crank with the short stroke, and high R/S ratio...

I toyed with the idea of boring a 4.8 out to LS1 spec to get a 313. It had a bore/stroke ratio much like a Z/28 302, Ford 289, or a Mopar 340. Thought it'd make a nice screamer in say a 240sx or something.

not really worried about low end torque(especially with the cam i have) if i can sell my 4l80e and get a t56 or another strong stick trans and put alot of gear in it . just want something to have fun once in awhile not a daily driver and as far as wieght is concerned not sure yet . no inner fender wells ,no a/c , only going to have a alternator and electric water pump on the engine , lookin for a set of manual doors . the interior consists two front seats shifter and a dash full of autometers
