How much? I was trying to get dave to give up the whole engine....does crank look good to go? Or do you think it needs to be cut? What year is it?

You're going to give up a bunch of tq vs a 6.0L for a NA combo I wouldn't do it. However if I was running a class turbo or supercharger say a 76mm turbo, or small blower and trying to maximize efficiency It would be a great choice. Also might raise the peak power threshold of the factory block and cast crank with the short stroke, and high R/S ratio...

I toyed with the idea of boring a 4.8 out to LS1 spec to get a 313. It had a bore/stroke ratio much like a Z/28 302, Ford 289, or a Mopar 340. Thought it'd make a nice screamer in say a 240sx or something.

not really worried about low end torque(especially with the cam i have) if i can sell my 4l80e and get a t56 or another strong stick trans and put alot of gear in it . just want something to have fun once in awhile not a daily driver and as far as wieght is concerned not sure yet . no inner fender wells ,no a/c , only going to have a alternator and electric water pump on the engine , lookin for a set of manual doors . the interior consists two front seats shifter and a dash full of autometers

turbo set up would be nice but i dont have that kind of money , and i would have to sell cam and heads and start over already have 4l80e which would be good for turbo set up .

With Scat rods and some forged slugs, it would be cool to spin it to 7700 with some good valve control.
