The 4.8 just isn't enough, time for a 5.7 build, but I need some opinions

Default The 4.8 just isn't enough, time for a 5.7 build, but I need some opinions

Well the H/C 4.8 is nice but i want more... I have been thinking about a 5.7 iron block build for a little bit. I got a good deal lined up on a block, pistons, rods, etc.. Just wanting some opinions.

First off it will be forged

Second I want to reuse my PRC 2.5 stage 862s (58cc )

Third I am aiming for 11:1 CR

So the deal includes the following:

- Speed Pro Forged pistons Standard bore ls1 bore size 3.8976-3.8986 PN L2621F (-5cc)

- Speed Pro rings

- Scat forged I beam rods, 6.1 rod length with ARP 8740 rod bolts

So my Math on the CR with my heads and .052 head gasket puts the CR at 10.85:1

Does that sound about right?

Also the cam i am planning on running is the FTI Street Sweeper HT, i think the specs are 228/230 .60X/.60X LSA 111, i those are roughly the specs... Eventually I plan on swapping out the heads and Cam to a more FI friendly setup for a TVS install next summer....

Your joking right? I don't think you could go back to a 4.8 even if you wanted too...

man my 4.8 gets 20+ on the highway, but if you drive in the city it gets like 12...

I dunno i am still in the "Thinking about it phase" i have not fully decided yet... Plus I am still debating if i will have time, over the last 2 days, i have worked 32 hours... Which this week i will log close to 65-70 hours... So i have zero time... Damn i need a vacation...
