I just did these on my truck. I didn't lose too much down low, or at least that I could notice. But after 3k, these things were awesome. It made up for any loss that I may have gotten down low.

If you are planning more mods, and if a TC is one of them, I wouldn't worry much.

Default I noticed a big diff...

but i put 4.10s in and got a tune the same time. And i have a manual. So low end really wasnt bad for me. I dont have a converter. But it will break the tires loose in 1st now.

i just put a set of pace setter lt's on mine. other than that all i have is an airaid intake arm, K&N drop in filter with a modified stock box, and a hypertech. I felt a world of difference in mine, mainly in the top end but some in the bottom end also.. and i have 3.23's. Granted 3.73s will be in soon.

Collector and primary size will dictate how it acts. Go too big and it will kill your lowend.

Those w/ LT's what are guys running for y-pipe diameter? 3" ? If so do you guys think a smaller diameter Y-pipe w/ cats will help to maintain or gain back some low end lost from the LT's on a 4.8?
