Default 4.8 Mods

I tried searching but kept getting errors.

I know some of you have went to the extreme with your 4.8's....what all did you do. I am wanting to do a 6.0 swap but I don't see that happening in the near future due to us moving in a few months.

I already have K&N FiPK, tune.

I know headers (I'm thinking pace setter LT's), LS1 fans, stall (Yank TT3000), cam (unsure of at the moment).

I plan on getting a diff with 4.10's and beefing up the tranny as well.

What else has anyone done to get the most out of this engine? I know alot of the mods will swap over so it won't be a total loss when I get to do the 6.0 swap.

I do not want spray, FI or turbo though.

Just curious on the power potential of this little engine.

you need to talk to 01Thunder. He's got just about every bolt on for our engines. He's cammed like a ****. Not sure what kinda hp/tq he puts down, but I think he ran somewhere around a 13.2

Sounds like you are on the right track. I would go with e-fans next, I run LS1 fans with a White1 harness. After that on my list would be Pacesetters and a catback, followed by a shift kit (Transgo or Zippy) and a Yank TT3000. If you want more after that consider a cam, Comp 212/218s come up for sale pretty often for cheap.

I was going the all motor route... went 14.4 with intake/cam/headers/exhaust/tune, but i must say the radix i just slapped on a few months ago definately brought the fun factor up a WHOLE lot, not to mention it sits me rather deep back into my seat... =)

now i need to work on planting all of this torque/power to the ground... =(
