4.8 tahoe
hey guys
i have a 2004 tahoe with a 4.8L in it, and im using it to tow around my 87 buick grand national. it can tow it fine, but id like to pick up a little torque so its not breaking such a sweat on longer trips. i put JBA cat back on it and thats about it. ive search and all ive been getting is acronyms for the engines- all im really familier with is the LS1, LS2, l98, LT1, and LC2- im not really up on my truck engines.
and im a tech at a GMC dealer so you dont have to treat me like a baby

with my experience, putting LT headers will kinda kill the down-low grunt you have... however, i dont have experience TOWING anything after putting the LTs on, so i couldnt tell you if it is just a SOTP feeling, but actual helper, or if it actually does kill the low-end a little... i would probably recommend to NOT get LTs unless you're gonna go all out and cam it, etc. i WOULD recommend however, a RADIX if you have not looked into it already. worked WONDERS on my truck... and if you MUST put headers, maybe go with some JBA shorties to match your cat-back? maybe find some mid-lengths? im not all up with the header hooplah, so i couldnt help you much there... anyway, hope i helped a little!
