Default The 4.8L Lives Again!!!

Just got off of the phone with the Don (slowhawk) and he let me listen to the sweetest sound I have heard in 7 months. Yup the new 4.8 is up and running. Now all we have to do is break it in and then throw that little 67mm turbo on it and run it down the 1320

Pistion burnt last september. Then I went to school. Got home at the end of Sept, towed it down to Dez. Then Don ripped the Radix kit out and then the engine. I sold the radix and sent the heads out to be re-done. Then we had to have the engine built. This is where is started to slow down. The engine guy recieved the engine and then went on a month vacation, we didnt know he was going to do this. Then once he got to working on it he had trouble finding pistion. Then we had to have them made. Then we had trouble balancing the engine. Then he finally got that figured out. So then we got the engine back at the end of april and then Don was busy So this yesterday was the 1st day he had a chance to work on it. And now it is running and thursday I will finally be driving it again It feels like I havent driven it in YEARS....

Well it isnt that fast now. But once the engine is broken in and that sts kit is put on, then it will be wicked fast.

Hey man, you gonna race up at New England drag way in Epping? If so, let me know when you go up. My car should be ready soon, if I can get the slicks ordered and mounted, and I'd like to see what a lil 4.8 can do down the 1/4. Let me know man, I'd love to watch.

Thanks
Nick
