4.8L setup for bottom end power N/A
Can i get a list of every possible part that will help my truck out on bottom end without killing or hurting it? I need some more speicific detailed info on Heads and Cam if your planning on posting that (since those two areas are going to vary from everyone elses thoughts)
My Truck is being setup for the 1/8th mile track Btw...
I already have a
3200 TCI stall Converter
4.10 gears
Posi trac
CAI
Exhaust
please dont include smaller tires i already have that covered too..
I have some ideas already of what i want to do but i wanted to get some ideas from some of you if you were building a N/A 4.8L setup for all out Bottom end in the 1/8th for a daily driver.

you obviously dont understand what N/A means do you?? no supercharger, turbo or nitrous...
Anyways here is what i was thinking of as for my ideas..
Underdrive pullies
80mm throttle body
headers
roller rocker arms
220 camshaft 588 lift
706 heads milled 0.030 to boost my compression ratio - fully ported and polished
and a custom tune

If your gonna do heads be sure to end up with a 10 to 1 or a little higher compression ratio, since you have small cubes to begin with the extra compression will help. your motor probably already has roller rockers. just the tips aren't. and for the money I don't think the gains will justify the cost. Long tube headers should be on your list, Shorty's don't do anything. (ax me how I know) other than that, find a good reputable tuner and tune the hell out of it.

6.0L are over-rated... I prefer to have the smaller motor and run with someone who has a bigger motor while saving some gas... I'm already beating 5.3L mild modifyied regular cabs...
you dont have to be the fastest truck out there to win... as long as you cut a good light and run your dial in you still can take home the money....

cold air intake
long tube headers
freeflowing exhaust, might just use a cutout at the track?
helluva dyno tune
underdrive pulleys
electric fans
spark plug wires
ported throttle body
throttle body bypass, gains are debatable
255lph fuel pump
8.1L truck injectors
4.56 gears with a good LSD - detroit trutrac or eaton LSD
3600 stall + built trans w/ shift kit and servos
https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...hlight=boltons
here is some more help
also id suggest getting som WCCH/Edelbrock 4.8/5.3 casting CNC-ported heads and milling them to bump up yoru compression.
id say a cam around a 212/218 or a 216/220 hi-lift versions
