You had this one of these on your truck, whippled, right? IIRC, it was never "finished", but you did have it running, driving, etc. How did it do, and did you ever get numbers? I worry about this style muffler, especially the "Delta Force" series, on a FI setup.

I meant tip in throttle out of boost. The trucks never been down the track with current mods.Been in a few freeway roll ons with a few pretty quick cars. Its would be safe to say the truck trapped between 113-115mph at 5000#'s.

I don't know if you saw this link in the other thread, but ck it out for reference. There are some videos where you can hear the exhaust and pick up on the drone a little from inside the truck when I'm driving through that rpm range.

As far as quiet, I'm concerned you will have a hard time getting it quieted down (without really restricting it), not to mention reducing/eliminating the drone. The bigger you go on the exhaust pipe, the louder it gets even if your muffler choice is the same, etc. My 3" exhaust is louder then other similar systems that I've heard in 2 1/2". I think the diesel trucks tend to get away with it (they aren't quiet anyways but.....) because of the turbo. Obviously, the turbo quiets down the exhaust substantially.
So I guess the obviously answer to fix this is to put a big turbo on it. Glad I could help
On a serious note, you might try some bullets or small resonators in your pipes coming off each bank. Probably be your best bet at this point. Keep us posted.
Side note: I don't know if I've ever seen it discussed but did you guys know that the corsa mufflers use this little channel in muffler to basically tune out the sound/exhaust pulses that cause the drone? I never seen anything on this before, but it made sense and I remember seeing the opening in the circumference of the pipe just past the inlet. I'll see if I can find the link.....

Sure would be nice to find a big 4" Corsa muffler. Did they use one in a diesel application maybe? Would think it would get rid of your drone.

Maybe that's why your truck is so slow......
