400rwhp needed from LQ4
I looked at the truck dyno list and didn't see any N/A motors in the 400rwhp group.
Can't I make this HP with a cam and heads (and possibly intake)?
Of course all the normal add-ons, free mods, and a great tune.
I'm buying a 6.0L LQ4 / 4L80E with 30K miles. I was hoping to put in a nice cam and some ported heads and come close to my goal.
This cam to small: Thunder Racing 224/224 .563/.563 112?
Motor is going in a 62 Nova, car weight with driver will be close to 3000lbs.
Shooting for some low 12's
Car will not be daily driver, more of a play toy...
Any help greatly appreciated...

Try starting with an LQ9
beefier rods, coated pistons, floating wrist pins (opposed to pressed) and more compression.
While I dont think its going to be impossible with a hydro-roller, its certainlyl not going to be cake walk. You're looking to add 200hp to a 300hp engine
