I'd go with with the 427. As GMCtrk stated. You want something that will staisfy your hp and performance needs but will last and be extremely reliable. I found an LS7 engine and transmission assembly out of a wreck for around 12,000 a few months back. Unless your gonna use it as a weekend warrior or a track queen then go stroker, with 13 to 1 compression with nitrous and meth injection he he he.

Default 6.0 the way to go for the money!

I think it cheaper to stick with the 6.0 due to the times I seen in the past for the money! I have seen 11:67 1/4 mile and 7:62 in the 1/8 mile with a 125 shot and 410 gears. The only problem with more power is traction. I have cal tracs 18" mt street radials and still can't shoot it from the hole. But if I could boy what time I think I could get if the eaton possie would hold up!
