408 is finally in - got a problem.

Two things it could be. You could have blown a maxi-type fuse feeding the starter solenoid in the fuse box just behind the battery. Also make sure the ground strap just behind the alternator and lower part of block is connected and tight.
Got my 408 up and running also. So far so good. It feels strong but I have a lot of tuning issues to deal with for it to idle to please me.

I guess it couldn't stop there - just my luck.
Got everything buttoned up, and loaded a tune. It runs, but I have other issues to resolve.
For one, none of my gauages appear to be working correctly. I show no, or almost no volatge, no oil pressure (what got me here), tach works, but takes a few seconds of it running to kick in. The interior lights appear to be dim, but could be just me. The radio will not play when it is supposed to, and it's like all the speakers are blown when it does. Lots of static, even if I play a CD. All the indicators in the dash are not working like they should also - my flashers look like they are half-on, etc, etc, etc,....
If anyone has ever heard of this kind of thing, please pipe in. I checked every single fuse under the hood last night, regardless of what it did. I will do the same today, sometime, under the dash. Beyond that....who knows. Could this be the BCM?
What controls the gauges, radio, ......?

I've checked the grounds, or at least I think I have. The only thing I wasn't sure of was the placement of one of the grounds.
If you look at the negative terminal from the battery, it goes straight to the block. I got that, but I have put another small ground on there with it. I don't remember it being there before - not to say it wasn't. It comes from the harness that is underneath the power steering pump. Maybe I should have grounded it to the alt bracket? I figured a ground is a ground - which by most cases is true. Not sure if that would make a difference or not.
Other than that, all of my grounds were put back where they were and are tight.
