Runs great, once tuning issues have been worked out - most. May be getting ready to go to a shaft mount rocker system.
I used the Patriot shaft rockers (which so far I like) and had to slot the push rod holes in the heads. I believe you have to do this with all or most shaft type rockers. The slots have to be cut with the heads off the motor. Just trying to give you a heads up on this. It's a bitch to determine the push rod lenght and also to set the lifter preload correctly.

Were these the ones that come in pairs, or a shaft for all the rockers per side? Patriot says that they are 5 weeks out for the one that runs one shaft per side. LS1Speed.inc shows them on their site (a sponsor) for sale, but like I said not avail. yet. Those are the ones I want. Jesel and Comp also make their version. Both of them are about $695, the Patriot system will be like $545. If I can hold out, I may wait for the Patriots.

I need to do it to get rid of some valve-train tap that I have. I have some testing to do to try and narrow down whether it's rockers or lifters. I replaced my lifters for the build, but didn't touch my rockers. My old motor had a tap that came when I went to LT headers, then it only got worse when I changed heads. I think it's rockers, but may also be the less than the best, whatever those are, lifters I got.

Mine are the real shaft rockers. Jesel is real expensive. Comp had some issues with their old shaft rockers. Their new ones (made by KD or something like that..great quality) are not in their catalog yet. They are a little expensive too. When you go to an adjustable rocker and get that lifter preload correct a lot of noises will go away. My lifters are fairly quite and that is on an XE-R profile! see pic.. pic

Those are pretty

Just want to make sure, from the angle of the pic it is hard to tell, these are paired shaft mount, right? How much did those run, or did they come with your heads?

Did you use the Comp R lifters?

Never thought of it that way but they are paired shaft mounted with one long bar under the shafts. I didn't decide to go with them until after I had my heads. I sent the heads back to Terry and had him slot them. $545 for the rockers. I knew the Comp R's would be noisey so I went with the Comp OEM's.

I'll let you know.

You wouldn't happen to have a pic of the slotting that had to be done to your heads, would you?
