Default 408 on the way, what hp/tq to expect?

Well the 408 ball offically got rolling yesterday as I ordered the rotating assembly and all the other nuts, bolts, pumps, and gaskets required to build it. Specs are of course, a 408 with eagle crank and rods, -12cc dish pistons, a TSP 233/239 .601/.609 cam, stock intake and tb, ported and polished 6.0 heads, and all the bolt-ons (full exhaust, CAI, tune, fans, etc.) as well as a healthy shot of spray (200 shot, maybe more). Tranny to be beefed up with all the good stuff, and since I don't encounter a lot of tight turns i'll more than likely spool the rear end for added strength.

Anyhow, what do y'all think? What hp/tq #'s are we projecting?

Thanks,
The Hauler

About 400-450rwhp with proper fueling and a good tune, with a 200shot about 600 to 650rwhp.I hope your drivetrain is up to the task.

I seen ya...I said "what's up fellas", well the Cobra and the l can come get all they want when it's done, would run now but I'm not sure how the rear end will hold up, sometimes it does and other times it blows out, anyhow it's a .

As for CR targeted, I'm not on the same page or I'm really stupid.... what do you mean, exactly? If you've ever heard me speak then you'll know that sometimes you've got to spell it out for us Arkansans.

Yeah me too, if a built 4l60 craps out then I'll probably go old school with a TH400.

Whitt1 I see you're from Memphis, my co-conspritor in this endeavor is from Marianna, not too far from you. We will be going to MMP for some test n tune when this is done, wanna run 'em? 402 v. 408 should be good times! Lookin' at a few months to get this thing together, a fella in Brighton is gonna do the machine work, so it really depends on him.

CR=Compression ratio...if so we're looking around 10.5:1, depending on how much the heads need to be milled, gasket thickness, etc.

Sorry for my prior stupidity!

That would be really cool,we could talk smack about it for a couple of months until you get it together and then have a crowd show up to see the Tennesse twister loser leave town steel cage death match.Let me know when you get it together it sounds like fun.

What is the dish on your pistons, you may not need to mill any off the heads for 10.5:1,408s need big chambers because of the additional displacement. You'll need about a 65cc chamber with a -12cc dish so you'll probably need to mill about .030" off the heads.
