427 6.0
I just bought a 6.0, I want to do a 427 stroker N/A. Ive seen builds where they want to cheat (my opinion) and use funny gas or they use fi. This is going to be all motor. I M not sure on the bore size for the block. Should I use a 4" crank or a 4.125 crank? Also what size sleeve and bore size for it? I want to use flat top pistons, what size should i use. I'll be using a fast lsxrt, 243 heads p&p by AI with a matched cam. I was thinking of 42lb injectors. If there is anything that should be considered let me know. Thanks for input.

I have a gauge for that

Probably. Your typical 427 rotating assembly is a 4" stroke with a 4.125" bore...the biggest recommended for 6.0 (lq4, lq9) blocks is 4.08. Quite a way from the 4.125 needed. A 418 with the 4.08" bore is the biggest I would go with a NA 6.0 block before getting into an LSX. 402 (4.005" bore) is the largest when going for big power, IMO.

Yes, 408 is a 4" stroke with a 4.03" bore.
Yes, you could, as you said this was an NA build. Not sure what the chamber size is on the 243s but I think around 68cc so youll be close to 11:5-12:1 with flat tops. As far as pistons, if you dont plan on boost or a lot of nitrous any decent piston will suffice; Diamond, JE, CE, Wesico, etc....pick your flavor.

wow you have a lot of homework to do LOL....
I'd be looking at buying a complete shortblock, people are building them ready to roll cheaper than you can put one together....
but dont be mad when a cammed 5.3 with a bottle passes you up.... wether or not you consider it "cheating" its not a bad way to go fast. Not to mention, if this is your DD, I wouldnt be even considering a stroker at all... JMO though.
