Default 42lb. injectors, will they fit?

A friend of mine gave me some 42 lb. injectors that came off a newer supercharged Cobra. He said they came stock on the Cobra. He put 50 lb ones in it. Will the 42lb. injectors fit with no problem? Or what do I have to do to get them to fit. I've heard people mention spacers and change the connectors. Is there a site I can find a how-to for it? I don't remember seeing it on LS1HowTo.com. Thanks in advance for any help.

they will fit physically, but, you will have to make spacers for the fuel rail, and bend the crossover tube slightly. the connectors have to be changed. your ECM program must be changed. do you have EDIT or equivilent? unless your stockers are maxing out now, don't mess with it, you will have nothing to gain if you do.

I am adding a cam and a 9psi pulley soon. I will be getting a Nelson tune when I can find time to be able to install everything.

If you are raising the rail, and the crossover is connecting the two rails, thus raising it also, why is it necessary to bend the crossover? Is this just to get the engine covers on? Just curious.

Does anybody have pictures of the spacers and connectors or can tell me where to get them?

Keep in mind what psi those injectors are rated at. Unless Ford changed their fuel pressure rating those injectors might more like 48lbs+ on your 58psi fuel system.

Not sure about the new Fords but that's how it worked on the old ones.

Spacers....I measured the diff in length (exposed portion), I believe it was 5/8" (don't quote me), then I got some 1/8" galvanized pipe from Home Depot and made some 5/8" spacers out of them. I then got the necessary hardware length for the spacers.

Connectors can be attained here: Summitt (the $15 ones), but will require you to provide the wire. Speartech can make you a set for about $45.
