hey im about to start re-building my transmission for a lq9 im putting in it, any suggestions?

good luck, but i dont think you could build it to last behind a lq9 6.0, i would let frank or vince build it since they know the weak spots !!!

ok tell me who frank or vince is? im really lookin into almost just buying a built one, i plan on having a lq9 buy Christmas and having the tranny before then. because i abuse it with my 4.8, w/80k on it so i know it wouldnt last 3 seconds with a lq9 on it?

I have the stock 60e with 143k on it behind the lq9. It should hold up fine, it was shifting great, but then again I rarely go over 2500 rpm.

look at ls1tech under automatics,they show step by step with pictures.also you will need a shift kit,beast sun shell,harden input drum assy,corvette servo,z-pack for 3&4,and a good racing overhaul kit(clutches,steels,seals,etc.) good luck
