Default 4l80 ???

What year 4l80 tranny would be best to put in my 01 seirra? I still wanna use all of the electronics.

i am using a 1997 80e. all the electronics are the same. i think the favorites are the 01 and up.

99 or later used on a 6.0.You'll need PCM tuning,an adaptor harness,a converter and a modified crossmember.

I agree with whitt. There were major design changes in 1999 (gears, clutch pistons, etc) and more changes in 2001 (roller clutch, etc). Although any case from 97 on will work, the 99+ ones have improvements for strength.
