Will need the 5.7 water pump and accessories if you have them?it'll make the ls6 to 5.3 swap easier. Another question is why?

well all the parts including the cam will also go right into the 5.3. Another option would be to make a Iron block 5.7 by boring the 5.3 and using the 5.7 pistons. Tune will probably need to be updated/changed?

well the 5.7 dropped a valve and took the block, head, piston and rod with it.

The cam should still be good then? So now you have 7? good rods and pistons. Get one more, have the block machined/bored, new rings and probably at least a couple valve springs and BAM!! you got a Iron block 5.7! Then if you ever go to sell it you say it's got a built motor. Won't totally kill the resale value. If you ever try to sell it and pass it off as stock motor most people will notice.
