Default 5.3,6.0 L engines, ballanced internal or external?

I've got a 6.0L that i bought and did not come with a flex plate, i've got a flex plate the will bolt up to it, but does not have a weight on it.

are the 6.0 and 5.3 internally ballanced?

thanks

Yes they are internal, the flexplates will interchange-just be sure to use the right one for the tranny you are using.

This is correct! The 99-00 crankshaft is different where the flexplate ( flywheel ) mounts to it. I believe it is thicker by 0.200" and causes torque converter to tranny mounting problems. BigTex/Richard can shed more light if needed.
