Definitely need new rings. They are a wear in place item, and it doesn't look like you're going to remember what place each one of them came from, being jumbled up in a bucket. Same goes for the bearings.

Block looks good though. Interested to see how it looks in the engine bay. Hopefully you can see it.

I bought the piston rings they are MS , an auto parts company from Raleigh NC, the reatiler said they are equal to /or better than OE quality

chrome rings and they look exactly the same as the OEM's

I tried to change the subject to " 5.3 to 6.0 LY6 swap 09 GMC Sierra "

but couldent,if a mod will help with that it would be great.

another thing, what grit to use when honeing the block , i have 180, will that be good?

You need to get a cylinder honing tool. Should be able to get one at any auto parts store.
