5.3 advice
I have a 2009 Silverado with the 5.3 LM7. I've already done a flowmaster 3in cat back exhaust K&N Blackhawk intake and an edge CTS2 programmer. It sounds nice but I want to start getting more power out of it any and all serious suggestions will be appreciated.

The truck has a LY5, LMG or a LC9, they make more power than the older GEN 3 LM7 motors.
Budget, goals?
A set of headers would get a okay bump and power and I'd ditch the programmer for a real custom tune with HP Tuners or EFI live. You'd need to go that route if you wanted to fully tune the vehicle or if you were to add a camshaft upgrade.

Thanks for the tips. As far as goals it is a daily driver so it will have to stay streetable but I don't Really have a set goal in mind other than having a truck will be fun to drive and be a me to break some hearts.
I have thought about doing headers and a y pipe. I would like to look into cams as well but I'm not sure where to go to find one, it seems like all the ones I've seen are for the 6.0 trucks in my year range.

A cam that fits a 6.0 fits a 5.3 the same.
The thing you have to decide is how big of a cam you want and if you want to keep the stock stall converter. You will have to remove the AFM/DoD parts when you swap camshafts. There is a added cost for having to buy those parts.
If you want a mild cam that's easier to tune and something that can keep the stock stall, you'll want to look into a 212/218ish size camshaft.
Texas speed, brian tooley racing and many other places sell cams and swap parts.

Anyone here from the southeast Michigan area. I've think I've figured out what I want to do with the truck and I would like to get some recommendations for someone to tune the truck for me
