5.3 all aluminuim with 799 heads??

thought the 243 and 799 were same castings. And if its an aluminum block, would that have come from a 4wd. Not trying to hijack, just curious.

If it was one from the NNBS it should have the 58x reluctor.

hells bells i dont know about the reluctor wheel but i do know that once i buy it that the heads and block are going on sale here i just want the pistons out of it

Its valuable complete, in a running state. Not so much after its sat outside with "prolly a bad bearing", minus the pistons.

this ones about to become an incomplete core.

true considering they can be bored out to a 5.7 and ive read that engine builders use them for 383 builds im guessin cause when boring it so much u are sure to have the cylinders match up and take out casting shift errors and such

but u wouldnt give 300 dollars for the block and heads??

I'm not sure you can do that with the aluminum 5.3L unless you were able to put 5.7L sleeves in there. The heads are equivalent to the 243's which have a good resale value.
