You'll get your money back just for the heads. My question is are all NBS w/L33 a 24 tooth reluctor and all NNBS a 58 tooth or does it go by year? I read from an unreliable source that all tucks up to 05 were 24 tooth and 06 and up were 58 tooth. Also does anybody know the teeth on t-blaze 5.3's?

GMT900 07 1/2+ will be 58x for sure, even the 4.3 went 58x in the GMT900 trucks.

The GENIII 4.8 LR8, 5.3 LM7/L33 and LQ4/9 6.0 all use a 24x reluctor.
The GENIV trucks engines all use the 58x reluctor.

peace

I think the LH6 TB 5.3l are 58x Gen IV because of the AFM.

What color is the crank sensor plug?

Thanks for the info guys, I do not have an engine yet but I will be buying an L33 if I can get one with a 24x reluctor. What does the crank sensor plug tell you?

I was told by Matt at Texas Speed, my 06 Trail Blazer had a 24 tooth. They said they had made the mistake in the past thinking it 58.

I thought that in the TB the last year for the 24 tooth was 05'. In 06' I believe they went to the new style pcm and they were 58 tooth. I'll have to confirm this tomorrow with my old dealer.

The 05-06 TBSS LS2's are 24x

I am now not sure on the LH6 5.3l though as it has AFM.

Crank plug color
Gray = 58X
Black = 24X
