Thanks again guys, the input is great and appreciated.

another question, what about a LS1 intake, does it bolt up to a 5.3? Also is there any advantage to a LS1 intake over the stock 5.3 intake in either N/A or turbo?

You will get more top end power with the LS1 or LS6 intake. Overall tho the dyno and testing numbers show the truck intake to be very good, not worth the possible extra couple of HP.
Down side to the LS1/6 intakes is that you will need a LS1 water pump to go along with it. The truck intake sits up much higher. Also car intakes don't usually have the EGR port open. Those with 99-01 trucks would need to block off the EGR and remove from programming.
