I would vote TVS for this truck as well. And the 1900 wont sign on any quicker than the 2300 will. As richard said the 2300 is slightly more capable than the 1900 is. As far as a 550-600 HP cap... i disagree

What did you put down with your 1900?

And what are the limits are the factory internals on this 5.3?

and what are the limits for a stock 6l80e? Can't seem to get a consistant answer on this one. Some say they're bulletproof, and the 4l60's are the ones that need to be built. And some say at 500whp, the 6l80 should start getting some upgrades.

I hit 118.5 MPH at about 5350 lbs. Never had it on a dyno because its awd.

Most calculators put that damn near 700.

Damn. That's pretty impressive. But those numbers are on the 6.0 LQ9, aren't they? What cam?

Number's wouldn't be as high on the 5.3 would they?

He has a 370, so a 6.1?

A stock 5.3 can make 1000whp+, just depends on long you want it to last.

Through a bone stock exhaust, with an LS9 cam my 5.3 made 477 with 12lbs. My heads flow worse than yours, and I had the NBS intake at the time.

Your truck/your gen motor with 12lbs will be healthy into the 500s.

500s should be no problem for daily reliability on any gen 5.3, IMO.

I think the 370 is on his new build if I'm reading his sig correctly. He referenced the 118.5 trap that's in the first line of his sig. could be wrong though.

And thanks for the info. That's what I was looking for. What blower/turbo were you running?

Any idea what the 6l80e could handle with out any upgrades?

500-600hp with a tune.

Other factors like big rims or heavy *** tires could put far more stress on the parts though. Driving habits can play a roll as well, doing like 6-2 downshifts or things like that could hurt the internals pretty easy at high horsepower.

Didn't think of the heavier tires putting strain on it. Good call. Will be mounting 33" LT tires on it this summer, instead of the 31" P metrics I have on there now. 16lbs heavier per tire.

I leaning towards the 1900 just for the simplicity. Then just add cam and smaller pulley down the road.
