5.3 guys, show me your CAI's

Thanks. Another good website for parts.
I have no problem with rubber stuff it should do the job fine. I think I have re-evaluated and decided since I think the MAF is 3.5" and the TB is 4" I am going to go with 3.5" pipe and a 4"-3.5" 90* reducing bend to the TB. I still need to measure the MAF, but I think it's 3.5".
I think this is the most informational thread on CAI's yet!

why do you reduce it to 3.5, because of the maf? i remember my brute force was full 4 inches and shaved 1.2 seconds off my old 05 silvy with a 5.3. it cost a lot so im gonnaa make one for my SS. im not saying the fact is was 4 inchs shaved that time lol. but more or less whats your reasoning?

No reason to go to 3.5", I found that both the MAF and TB are 4". So you can go 4" all the way. After I put on my TBSS intake I ended up getting an Airaid tube for a nnbs and made it reach my existing airbox. It is 4 inches on both ends.

Yeah, no use starting this topic all over again when we've got all those great photos. I was looking at chromeintakes on ebay - thought I'd check it out here first.
