5.3 intake replaced woth ls1 intake
i am currently lookin into installing my 5.3 in a mazda rx7. one problem, the intake is way to tall. i recently had someone suggest putting a ls1 intake on it. my question is, will all my existing compnents bolt to the ls1 intake off my 5.3 intake? such as injectors, fuel rail throttle body ect.
when this all does bolt together i beleive it will fly.
5.3 into turbo350 into 390 gears with ind suspension with only 2600 lbs. numbers are lookin good

The LS1 intake is a lot shorter than the truck intakes. The water pump on the trucks is a lot different than the one on the cars because of the lower intake design. The throttle body on the car intake will hit the water neck.
You could change out water pumps, but all the rest of the belt accesories would have to be changed as well.
You might talk to www.smcperformance.com about some belt accesories, he usually has some relatively low mile take off's for sell at a fair price.

contact John at SpearTech, He makes a $70 bracket that will allow the use of the truck waterpump and accessories with the LS1 intake....you still have to cut down the water neck on the pump but the LS1 manifold WILL fit after the neck is cut and a 90* rubber hose is put in it's place (it's REALLY close...like 1/16" close...but it DOES fit)
