I was saying without getting into the motor, and yes you can get close to the 400 mark but it will cost alot less with a ls based motor

You can get a stock bottom end LT1 into the 400's with heads and cam. 350 is far from the max. Yes the LS1 based setup can make more power for cheaper.....

The other thing is as streatable setup, guys making big power have big cams that would be terrible at moving a 4000+ pound truck

here is a 355 lt1 with cam, bolt ons and port and valve job, through a t56!

i never said it was the max he could make, i owned an lt1 for 2 years i looked at the options and read threads on ls1tech everyday about dyno gains with different setups

advanced induction is the leader in LT1 power production right now.

multiple stock motors, running their ported stock heads/intake, and their spec'd cam putting out over 400rwhp.

keep the 5.3 better off. but if you can get the car with the lt1 for a tad bit more hell get it and FI it or spray the hell out of it....
