i have a 2000 rcsb silverado with a 5.3, long tube headers and y, custom tune,
kn intake, was thinking of putting tsp 224r cam and a 3600 stall but the 3600 stall is like 300 more then the 3200 from circle d so i was thinking of there 220r cam. i am also going to do the vette servo and i can get my hands on a stock posi from a guy at work. i didnt know what else to do besides n2o or maybe something with heads or just save up any maybe do lq4 swap. this is my daily driver just want a little more

I'd probably go for the 220 cam and 278mm 3200 converter combo. The 278mm is a tame converter that acts like stock pretty much until you stomp on it.

There are other companies out there though that sell converters a little less money if you are looking for say a 3600. EdgeRacing has a converter for $575 that would work well if you want higher than a 3200rpm and smaller diameter converter.

If you plan on getting a more aggressive converter 3400rpm + which would be a smaller diameter than say a 278mm then I suggest IMO waiting until you have some type of built trans. I would just get a 278mm with a bigger trans cooler and just run it. The 278mm converters are cheap/affordable anyhow.

I ran a 224r and the 278 3200 from circle d and I had great luck with it I had almost the same mods as you in a 04 rclb 4wd i did all my mods at 84k and ran them till 128k and the only issue I had was my rear end went bang I even used my truck to pull my boat and snowmobiles with no issues hope this helps

I don't tow anything with it and thanks for all the replys, this helps me a little more with my choice

I have a 228r with a 3400 circle d stall and love it. i drive the truck about 1000miles a week with no issues. I didnt do the mods until 195,000 miles.
