Default 5.3 power

lets say a guy wanted about a 12.5 second reg cab short box 2wd 5.3
lets say he already has headers (short, but its bagged so they will stay short)
and there was good exhaust already in place, plug wires,292 e fans, 160 degree thermo. How much hp and tourqe is needed to get to a 12.5?
how many hp is the stock 5.3 rotating assembly good to? i would be willing to go with minimal nitrous (75 shot) what do i need to get me the rest of the way there.

Supercharge that beast and you should be in the 12's with what you already have. Dollar for dollar nothing else you do will get you as close to where you want to be like a supercharger would. Just make sure you have good tires because power with no traction = slow et's!

I could tell you what it takes to get a rcsb to run 12.5, but i can tell you this, with a 75 shot and what you have listed won't do it.

you will need 4.10's or 4.56's, stall converter, tuneing, weight reduction then hope and pray for a perfect day. nice and cold with low humidity.

Get a tune,4.10 gears, higher stall converter and a 125-150 shot and you should there!

how do you want to build the truck daily driver u can put 4.10,small cam and a small stall stall all bolt ons and you can put LT's on it with it being bagged, and cut out and if you want to do heads that would just put u closer to the 11's on spray.

and no you don't need to pull seats out r nothing like that just remove spare tire and tail gate is all the weight reduction u need
