5.3 top rpm
Right now my shift point is 5800 rpm's on my 5.3.I was wondering what I would need to change to run it up to 6000?I was thinking valve springs and push rods or is all this a waste of time with a stock cam?Does this cam fall off after 5800[anyone with dyno runs]?

I shift at almost 6100 (sometimes 6050 or 6095 or 6105) It doesn't really make much power that high stock but it DOES put your 2nd gear shift at a higher RPM. Thats why I do it, seems to work

I was shifting mine at 7k. It did burn up a wrist pin though. It took a while for it to happen. The bottom end will hold just fine with just some ARP bolts.
I have some if anyone would like them. They are the good ones, ARP2k rod bolts. PM me so we on't jack the thread.

You can rev up to 6400 safely but i personally wouldnt do it. Rod end bolts begin to fail around 6500 RPM iirc.
