5.3 Valley cover sensor question

Default 5.3 Valley cover sensor question
What is that sensor that is at the back of the valley cover, next to the oil pressure sending unit? My new intake is hitting the plug for the sensor. I noticed that LS1 valley covers dont have that sensor and the oil pressure sending unit integral with the valley cover, they just mount directly to the block. I think I may have to use and LS1 cover, is that possible?

sensor next to oil is CAM

truck, car valley are same
ls2 is different then others

I don't have the two sensors on the cover plate, Here is a partial pic of it.

My valley cover plate looks different as far as the knock sensors.

This 5.3 is from a 2007 Tahoe, I wonder if they changed the design a bit.
