I am fixing to have a custom cam ground for my setup, and the cam vendor needs some information that I do not have about my vortec 5.3L. I need intake and exhaust valve sizes. Bore and stroke. Connecting rod length. And any other information that might be useful in trying to spec out a came. Thanks.

 

1.90 1.55 valves, 96.01 mm bore and 92.00 mm stroke, as for rod length im pretty sure its the same rods as an ls1, so just do a search for ls1 rods

No doubt, its a 5.3L. Whats to ask? Stock rods are 6.098" IIRC, 6.125" are aftermarket.

 

i was thinkin that too, but mayb hes getting it through a shop thats not into lsx and late model stuff, but then again whats a shop that dosnt deal with lsx doing grinding a cam for one. none the less he has the info now

 

well there you go, i knew some one would have it. i just looked in the jegs book and saw 6.125'' so that would explain sweets10s post
