You're looking at 8.3:1 with 6.0L heads. This isn't the 1970's, technology has come a long way. Crank up the boost with higher compression, just be sure of your tune, gas quality and thermal management. Let the intercooler do it's job.

What size turbo were you running to get that?
What was the redline at and dose it have the same redline as the 5.3.
I know that the 5.3 would put out a few more ponies but i can get a 4.8l for $200 and the 6.0 head run $200-300. So for $500 it wouldn't cost me to much. If i could run the 6.0 heads to lower compression to 8-8:5 i could turn the boost up a bit.

This was just at a dyno day a GTO club was having that I happened to be invited to. I only made 3 pulls. With a little more tuning, could have been better
