5.3L Questions
i just picked up a 5.3L engine and plan on dropping it off in my s10 but now i need mods, lots and lots of mods. can i stroke it, if so what stroke and bore, heads, intake, bolt ons, etc.
open to ALL suggestions

Essentially all of these questions can be answered via the seach tool...
You can bore it to 3.893"? to make a 5.7, you will need the rotating assembly from a 5.7, and you can't just swap rods and pistons even though the cranks share the same stroke and casting number because of drillings on the 5.7 crank journals unique for balance.
Really the sky is the limit, but more likely the check book.
With the correct combination of just bolt-ons, maybe a head mill, in a stock 5.3, esp. in an s10 it could be made very respectable on the street/strip without going really internal. Others will say there is no replacement for displacement, but honestly you shouldn't have picked up a 'little 5.3' if that was your real goal.
