Aiight... Aiight... Hold up. What kinda LS1 w/ A4 runnin' 12s & 11s w/ 2.73s? Is it N/A or are we talkin' some hi-dolla bolt-ons? Holla back!

Cool

You will not like a 6.0 if mileage is a major concern. I average about 12 mpg with mine but it weighs over 5850 lbs has 3.73 gears and a .75 OD in the tranny. If you get a 6.0 from the factory it will have a 4l80E or 4L85E mounted behind it. If you plan to turn the boost up over about 6 psi then fuel system upgrades are recommended. You will need a fuel pump upgrade, either in tank or in line, and somewhere around 42# injectors. You will also need a good tune. I am running 10 psi on a stock block but am a little hesitant to go any higher and I have meth injection as well but no IC.

I thought I read that the LT1 would be fuel limited as well if you go for higher boost levels but I am not really sure about that.

Basic bolt-ons with a 3500+ stall is mid 12s NP. Add a cam and easy 11s. All depends on the area though. Some tracks are just faster than others. Texas tracks shouldnt count though, they have higher concentrations of n2o in the atmosphere. lol

My 00' T/A did 12.6s with 2.73s and a 3800 stall.

yes a 6.0 will handle the boost, but the fuel system has to be upgraded. It will be that way for whatever motor you choose. Most of the time its just a larger fuel pump and injectors but if you are planning on going near or over 15#'s then dual in-tank pumps with bigger injectors will be a must.

If you do end up running 15psi on a stock 6L, please record how long it lasts. I'd like to know how far I can push mine. I was thinking 10 pounds max but some of these guys seem to think 15 will hold up. Love to see it.

More than a few of us have ran over 12psi for awhile and not had any issues. I only ran 14-15psi for 4 runs and on race gas so I don't count that.
