Your preaching to the choir about breaking things. Yes things do just go bad. This was on 100 shot. # 5 bit the dust on a 14.6 run.

Are you saying nitrous did that? That is the only motor i've seen that has been sprayed and the pistons were not shiny. How come there is carbon all over the piston? Did you drive it after this pass for a while with a bad miss?

I should have results of this in the next two months.

I have 6.125" H beam rods runing a 2.000" journal with a bearing spacer to accomodate the offset grind of the 6.2L crank. I though about billet caps but I think the 6 bolt pattern and steels should hold fine.
The motor is a good base for a bolt-on or FI small CI project but if a stroker or big HP is your desire start with the 6.0L block.

Thanks oxidizr,I want to build a small cubic inch motor.I like the idea of building a modern day 327.I know it doesn't rev like the old venerable power plant but I still like it.
Since these are similar to the LS1 do they have the same weak points?Weak rod bolts and such?
Does any have a pic of the intake manifold or motor pic with out the cover over the intake? How high does it sit up? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

This isn't a full picture of the manifold (but its the only one I have) and it got a bunch of "extra stuff" on it butyou can see how its is about 5 1/2 inches taller than the LS1/6 style manifolds.
