Default 500whp RCSB, 2wd or 4wd as a daily driver???

Looking at building an RCSB. And looking to do a turbo'd 5.3 for now and replace it with a 6.0 or built motor when the 5.3 gets tired. For being a safe and reliable daily driver would you go with a 4wd (autotrac? awd?) or a 2wd? Either way, they'd both be lowered just a little bit.

Save your money and go 2wd. Less to break, less weight and easier to mod. 500hp throught a blower or turbo can be very drivable(look at all the lightly modded ford lightnings).

Which is more or less what i'm going after... just a Turbo'd GM version.... hell maybe it will have more power. I was just thinking it might be better in 4wd.

If you can afford to make repairs and uprgade the components it would stick like a champ. But I'd personaly go with a TVS 1900 and have all that power right off idle so you can get the thing moving.

If i could do it all over again i would definatly go 4wd with a drop like you mentioned.... i would just love to have traction on the street with a push of a button....

That's where i'm heading I think. It's just hard to find a 4x4. I wish I could do it with a '09-10 GMC with the 6L80e! Funds don't allow that yet!

Speaking from experience 4wd isnt the "ultimate savior" for traction issues. Yes it hooks better than 2wd, and yes it is fun as hell doing 4wd drifting

If I were building something specifically for the street, Id go 4wd again. As far as the track, I ran in 4wd several when I was in the 14's, a few times when I was in the 13's and ONCE when I got low 13's/high 12's. I learned my lesson QUICK about that. 4wd+1.6 60'=

Yeah, what I want to build will probably never hit the track and if it does, i'd probably just leave it in 2wd. This is mainly a street play toy that I can drive across country if I wanted - and might.
